THE THEATRE OF THE HOLY NUMBERS The Theatre of the Holy Numbers was co-created by JAIN from Byron Bay and Bee Universal Inc. The Theatre of the Holy Numbers is a unique expression of Sacred Geometry that was shared with a receptive audience of 200 people who "learnt math's through theatre!" This production, full of interesting characters like the High Priest, the Child bearing The Scroll, and the Weaver of the Web, fulfilled the needs of the time. To honour, like the days of old, the true meaning of the Winter Solstice, June 22nd 2003, the shortest day of that year, a seasonal turning point when more Light would shine on Earth as the days passed. There was a revival of Educational Ceremony or Ritual that benefits and informs the public, in this instance, to teach Sacred Geometry via the symbol of the Magic Square of 3 x 3. This ancient box of numbers was represented by 9 robed people, numbered in such a way that the numerical digits from 1 to 9 were painted on their long gowns, arranged into a 3 x 3 square such that they magically appeared to be equal in their sums of their 3 columns, 3 Rows and 2 Diagonals. Any way the audience looked, the sums added to 15. It was the human embodiment of the Magic Square; a subject that has fascinated many cultures for thousands of years. Much symbolism could be derived from the visual appearance of 9 people wearing radiant witch-like hats spiked at the tip to receive a golden thread; and the final Mandala pattern that was created above their heads was identical to the pattern of the large magic carpet that they all positioned themselves on, illuminating the ancient hermetic axiom of "As Above, So Below". All the while, there was a magical interplay of ambient music and celestial light. Part of our Mission Statement is to offer the Youth in the area an opportunity to get involved in creative and social events, to steer them towards positive goals and projects. Overall, it was truly a fun experience, and many new inspirations have arisen from this one event. |
